Ammonia sensor

A high concentration of ammonia in the poultry coop adversely affects the health and performance of the poultry. However, it is not easy to measure the intensity of these side effects. Poultry are not usually exposed to a very high concentration of ammonia for a long period of time, unless ventilation is improper, or chickens are fed a nutritionally unbalanced mixture. Especially in the winter months, when the pen managers tend to save on heating expenses, there is an essential need to monitor the concentration of ammonia in the air. Exposure of the poultry to high concentrations of ammonia can be costly. That is why it is very important to carefully monitor the air in the coop, while giving emphasis to the ammonia problem. Our ammonia sensor immediately detects a dangerous deviation in the ammonia values, and sends an alert to the farm managers. If necessary, the ventilation system on the farm receives an instruction from the cloud to operate immediately, in order to bring about a rapid reduction in the level of ammonia in the air.
